A trademark can be a word, phrase, symbol, or design that distinguishes the source of the goods or services. Remember that trademarks are adjectives, therefore they should be followed by a generic term and they should not be made into verbs or made plural or possessive.
All printed material must include a copyright notice and credit notices listing A.P. Gilfoyle's trademarks mentioned therein. When using A.P. Gilfoyle's marks in publications that will be distributed only in the United States, include the appropriate ℠, ™, or ® symbol on first use. For publications that will be distributed outside the United States, do not include trademark symbols. Instead, use the appropriate trademark attribution notice. For example, “Copyright © 20XX A.P. Gilfoyle Investment Management LLC, or its affiliates. All rights reserved. A.P. Gilfoyle, the A.P. Gilfoyle wordmark logo, and the Goose symbol are trademarks of A.P. Gilfoyle Investment Management LLC, or its affiliates, registered in the U.S. and other countries and regions.”
The absence of a product or service name or logo from this list does not constitute a waiver of A.P. Gilfoyle's trademark or other intellectual property rights concerning that name or logo.
